  1. Natures Miracle does a good job of removing odor from carpets and upholstery.

  2. for the smell, address the diet.

  3. For the shedding you can get a tool called a Furminator that looks kind of like a fine tooth comb but it gets a dogs undercoat out well. For the smell I think you can buy scented sprays online that might help. You spray them on the dog and they smell better.

  4. For the hair, get in the habit of brushing them EVERY day til not much hair comes off. I have a pit/lab mix and he was shedding like crazy, too. Since i started doing this it's not so bad and I can skip days and it doesn't get that bad. I also use a brush that looks like a loop of spikey metal on a stick. I don't know what it is called, but you can find it at most pet stores. It works sooo much better than a regular brush.  As for the odor....I had to potty train a rescued 2 yr. old pit/mastiff mix who had chained outside since he was a puppy. I used something made by Robinson Laboratories (they make scent shield for deer hunting) called Dog Essentials Dog accident Deodorizer. It was AMAZING.

  5. After you vaccume every where you can spray febreze on there beds the floor your car,it really helps but it does not stay around like most air sprays which I think stink it just some how gets rid of the doggie smell. As for the hair get a dog shedding blade at your local dog store and while they are still wet from there bath use it to get off the extra coat you will be amazed at the hair it gets off and every hair you get off is one less you have to clean up.Tilks Mom

  6. hi,

There is a time in every dog owner's life that calls for having a good stain and odor remover on hand--think of housetraining a puppy, or living with your geriatric dog's mishaps, not to mention the irregular bouts of vomiting and diarrhea that occur in every dogs' lifetime.

    hope this helps.

  7. To stop the shedding, you have to brush them daily for at least a half hour. Once they stop shedding as much, you can move the brushing down from once a day to twice a week. so on.

Dogs stink. Its a fact. Just make sure you wash them regularly.

  8. Use a "zoom groom" or anything that a groomer recommends, and a shedding shampoo. Open all the windows to air out the house every so often. I like the plug-in air fresheners, and I use Febreze even though I don't think it works all that well. I also have the reed diffuser air fresheners, I love them! They last forever, and smell good! Give your dogs breath mints, and clean out their ears too. Simple things go a long way!

ADD- Oh, I bought a carpet shampooer, and I shampoo regularly! I use Nature's Miracle, as I've heard it's The Best. Also, I have recently decided that as much as I love my dogs, they need to stay OFF the furniture and my bed! They really don't mind it like I thought they would.

  9. You can try spraying the carpet and furniture with Fabreeze for Pet Odors.  I use this and it works quite well for getting rid of pet smells from furniture, pet beds and carpets.  I also use the pet odor carpet deodorizer that you sprinkle on the carpet, let it sit for awhile then vacuum it up.  I bought the Dyson Animal upright vacuum cleaner which works great and really gets all the hair up.  I love it and would recommend it to anyone.
