What is a good resource for finding information on houses in need of rehabilitation? ?

I'm looking for older homes in the Chattanooga rural outskirts in need of rehabilitation. I would like any information --that won't require a credit card-- on where to start looking into this.

A good agent is invaluable.  The agents know (because they must) what is on the market, and what condition it is in.

.    If you rely on someone else to do this for you, you will be left out.  They will take the best ones and leave you the rest.  You need to get out and drive around. Write down addresses of houses with 5 foot weeds.  Write a letter to the owners and include an offer.  You can get their address at the Assessor Office. Get to work.
