What is a good restaurant in Houston, TX to go to for a 22 year old's birthday dinner?

My roommate is turning 22 at the end of the month. She wasn't able to celebrate her 21st properly because of a horrific car accident. She is doing so much better and is on crutches. We want to take her to a nice restauarnt that isn't too expensive in Houston. She also wants to go out afterwards to some type of bar in Midtown, but somewhere where she can sit in a reserved area without having to stand up and walk around. Any ideas??
