What is a good resturant in Vancouver, BC?

I am going up to Vancouver, BC. For my 20th birthday dinner. There will be about 13 of us, so it can't be too fancy, but we don't want to be eating at a fast food resturaunt! Don't really care what the food is--steakhouse, italian, mexican, its all good. Someplace with good drinks would be prefered. Like a fancy Olive Garden.

There is a group of restaurants Cactus Club, Joey's  and Earls and they are located all throughout Vancouver and the surrounding areas. They are loungey so people are dressed clubby, especially in the downtown ones. They have good food, younger crowd and most entrees are less then $15. There is a heavy influence on different types of cocktails at each of the places as well. Most of them have a restaurant side and then a bar side so you can move around a bit. Drinking age is 19 here and if you are under 25 you will need to bring two pieces of ID- one government with picture ( passport or drivers license ) and the other with your signature ( ie credit card )

Try going to an Earls or Cactus Club.  The ones downtown are pretty funky and definitely priced right.  Plus, there's lots of good atmosphere, especially if a Canucks game is on.  Happy birthday.

if you like seafood the best is cardero's its a seafood restaurant the best its off of georgia st heading towards stanley park off of coal harbour key on the right hand side and one place which never fails is of course....milestones they are everywhere in van....i live in toronto but am from there originally,happy b-day!!!!!!

It may be too fancy... but, I loved it and saw some bigger groups of people there... it's the Observatory on top of Grouse Mountain... Definitely a must do if you can...
