  1. You seem too small to be a wing or fullback. Try five-eighth since they need to be pretty quick to avoid being tackled. If you can't pass or kick, you could still make a good wing, but they sometimes need to kick as well.

  2. wing or flanker not heavy enough to be a forward

  3. winger, but if you're a good tackler try flanker

  4. Your light and quick on your feet, a winger would suite you better.

    Kia Kaha

  5. i would say a flanker or a cnetr/winger/full back as the are good positions for lighter people...only go for the flanker position if you have good tackling skills

  6. Scrum half. They're often the smallest player on the team, and if you're tough it's a great position to play with loads of action. However, not a great one to start at as it is a very responsible position on the team. I would suggest that you start as a winger and slowly work towards scrum half or possibly fullback if you can kick.

  7. Good for you for getting into an awesome sport!  It is a very social game and you can play it pretty much anywhere in the world (just bring your boots and you've got instant friends).

As for what position you should play?  Going by the information you listed above, I would suggest you would fit in well as a back.  You may already know this but in rugby, the positions are designated by number.  Numbers 1-8 are forwards (typically the bigger/taller players) and numbers 9-15 are typically the smaller/faster players.  If you are good at handling the ball (passing and making quick decisions), you could try #9 positon (scrum half) or the #10 position (standoff).  You said you are pretty quick/agile so the wing positions (#11 and #14) might be for you as these guys are typically the speedsters.  If you can kick pretty well you might want to try #15 (fullback).

The great thing about rugby is that there is a postion for everyone so if you try a postion and it doesn't seem to be suited to you, you can always switch positions and try a different one.

    Good luck!

  8. If you ask me, I think the Queue will be suitable for you.  Don't play the forward as you lack the weight.  If you have speed, go run the queue and do a try.

    All the best.

  9. you are too light to be a flanker, plus any position in the scrum i.e prop, hooker, lock, number 8. you would be suitable to play full back and wing. at your weight you dont want to be tackling anyone, they will just go straight through you, so obviously that rules out centres. if you can kick good go fly half, and if you have good passing skills you can go scrum half (your not in the scrum for that despite the name)
