hey there, so i'm a new runner, i'm currently running in some like nikes with shock absoberers, and my feet hurt even after just walking, so i'm going to buy myself a new pair, i am only a beginner runner, but tend to get more serious with this, so what are some good brands/best running shoes?

  1. asics.

  2. Nike Frees; it's lightweight and won't feel like blocks of cement when you run... I run with these religiously! There's not much support, but it stregthens your feet since it mimicks barefoot running.

  3. i agree with brooks because brooks have a lot of support and last for a long time

  4. I think Brooks are the very best....I'd go with Asics for now cause they are cheaper

  5. I find brooks to be a great shoe.  They last a long time and have plenty of support.

  6. I've been running for about 3 months now, and had the same problem. I had some Nike cross trainers and was having all sorts of knee, shin, ankle problems, so I finally went and got some real running shoes. I tried on a bunch of shoes, but I decided on a pair of $50 adidas from shoe carnival (hey it's always a bonus when you get something for a good price).....they are SO light and I haven't had ONE problem since getting them. They are: Adidas URAHA- they're so good that I went back and bought a second pair for when these wear out. My husband and I log about 30-35 miles a week and I haven't had any problem AT ALL.

  7. I personally really like New Balance - lots of cushioning.  I know Asics are meant to be very good too.
