What is a good score in SATs?

I got 1290 in my SATs that i took this June and I'm kinda bugged. I had no classes and i didn't study so did I do well enough {or} should i take them again and take classes? I just finished 11th grade and I attend school in the Bahamas but plan to complete tertiary studies in the U.S.A.

The colleges don't care if you did it by yourself or not, or even if you say you didn't prepare.

1290 is a bad score (the average being 1500-1600).

Study hard and take them again.

eh not so so bad but you could do better. get a SAT study book and retake it next year.
