Question:

What is a good site for purchasing shares in a racehorse?

I'm looking to purchase shares in a horse or horses. I can spend between $200 and $750. Are there any good, reputable horse racing syndicates or stables that offer shares like this? Any recommendations? This is a birthday gift for a longtime horse racing fan.

  1. What country are you in?  What track/area would you like the horse to race at?

  2. i belive purchasing shares ina horse is sometimes a good idea, however in america there is not that many around in the UK there is many . a good one would be elite racing . who have had some of the best horses in training at there times, or other wise maybe seek a greyhound which comes a lot cheap and can have just as much enjoyment out of this. and is also cheaper to run with kennel costs and etc.

  3. Bongo Racing Stables are based on the west coast and offer low cost thoroughbred partnership shares.

I also, got the email from Rick Porter, but honestly, I'd trust that man about as far as I can throw him. Bad bad bad past experiences.

  4. save your money - buy shares of stock , not a horse !

but if you must...... expect to lose.

    betting is more fun !

  5. Rey enterprise. they are based at fairplex park in Pomona cal.

go to their web-site. e-mail or call Mylo Reyes

tell him the turf-man sent you. good luck and good racing.

    reyenterprises.com

  6. In that range I would try Karakorum out of New York, http://www.karakroum.com/  Their entry point is somewhere around $500 and they run for good money in that state.

Also, try picking up a copy of the Daily Racing Form and check the ads in the back.  There are a number of syndicates that operate out of the midwest, you can probably get a good chunk of something from one of those firms at your price point.

  7. I received this email at the end of August:

Fox Hill Farm's new racing club.

    Dear ......,

We would like to introduce you to a new racing club that has been created by Rick Porter and Victoria Keith of Fox Hill Farm. Rick's Fox Hill Farm just won the King's Bishop on Saturday with Hard Spun. Over the past few years Rick has raced Hard Spun, Round Pond, and Rockport Harbor. He is probably the most accessible owner in the industry and really understands how important racing fans are to the future of the sport. Through his website RockportHarbor.com , Rick and Victoria have given racing fans an all access pass to the Fox Hill farm horses over the past few years and have done a fantastic job of promoting the sport we all love.

The next step for Fox Hill Farm is to give racing fans a chance to get in on the action and own a part of a horse with them. They have asked us to share this with our customers before they make it public and we hope you will all check out their new website at TurfClubUSA.com

Fox Hill Farm is very reputable as is Rick Porter. You can check out http://www.TurfClubUSA.com  for more info.
