i am 6 ft and a good weight to be at is 180 if your athletic. it also depends on what weight you feel the best at.

That depends on the brand of bicycle.  There are slight variances between brands on the size.  I am 6' and on some bikes a 58cm is what I ride -- on others, like Trek for instance, a 56cm is proper.  The S, M, L are even more vague to be able to recommend.

The very best advice you can heed is to get fitted by a bicycle professional at your local bicycle shop.
