What is a good sized bike for an adult?

I am 6'4 and am looking for a bike to commute with. What size frame would be a good fit?

  1. Frames come in a variety of sizes.   Your leg vs. torso length are as important as total height.  Your best bet is to visit your local bike shop to let them help fit you and test ride several bikes.

  3. Good for you.  The world will be a better place for one less car on the road -- and that from an old car guy!  I've put references below to educate you on bicycle sizing.  Sheldon Brown's excellent article is probably the best place to start.
