What is a good sized tennis racket for a 15 year old 5'9 boy?

Depends on your son's strength and swing speed. I'm guessing that he will continue to grow untill he reaches 18-19 years old. I'm operating under the assumption that he will reach 6'2 or 6'3 when he is finishing high school. With his height i wouldn't advise a longer stick because he will have the height and reach to cover the court. If he has a stronger build, i would go with a thinner beam stick because he will be able to generate his own power. Alot of times i see junior players hit with these extremely powerful sticks and they don't properly develop their form. Also, if he is a beginner, start him with an oversize head to help him with hand and eye coordination to hit the ball in the sweet spot, (which is larger in oversize heads). If he is strong and has a fast swing speed i would recommend: Babolat pure drive Plus, Head Microgel Extreme, Wilson K factor sixtwo. Remember, don't buy one until he try's it. Go to a tennis club and spend the day demoing a variety of sticks on the ball machine and then decide.
