What is a good snowboard binding?

I'm a inexperienced snowboarder looking for a good set of bindings for next year, does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. If you're a beginner don't stress too much over the bindings.  Don't drop a ton of cash on the pro models as they're usually loaded with features you'll never use anyway.  Get a solid middle of the line set of bindings from any major manufacturers, Rome, Ride, Drake, Burton, Technine whatever, just make sure your boot fits.  Right now I would wait a little bit until everything goes on year end clearance then look for a deal.


  2. Don't blow the budget on them but don't buy the cheapest you can find.  I recommend Drake.  I use the GT and they're comfortable and supportive.

    Any mid level binding from a reputable company should do you fine.  Stay away from new technology - Flow or K2 Cinch - and abandoned tech - click ins.
