What is a good snowboard to buy?

i have been snowboarding for 6-7 years and have always rented a snowboard. i think its time my parents will let me buy one. what is a good snowboard to buy related to my skill level?

I have a never summer. They are great quality boards made in colorado. Also you could go with a burton like everybody and their momma. They are known for their quality, but you may pay more than you'd like. If you only go snowboarding once or twice a year, then I'd go for a K2, Lamar, or something from The-house.com. They have great package deals that are quick and easy to get you riding.
