  1. I did a science expirement i used the NXT Extreme, B330's, One Platinum. If you want distance and feel use the NXT Extreme. If you want a BIG distance ball use the B330's. And the One Platinum is a high spin ball.

  2. If you want to spend about $40 a dozen, take a look at the Bridgestone B330 tour. On the more expensive side, the Callaway HXi (new) is a great ball and the first four piece ball on the market. The Pro V has a high spin rate and will sometimes not release when chipping if you have a good wedge (or a clean one). For a less expensive ball in the $20.00 per dozen, take a look at the Maxfli Noodle.

  3. No ball, with a hard , medium, or soft cover is easy to spin if it isn't hit properly. You've been listening to Johnnie Miller and Lanny Watkins too long. Only precisely hit shots( ball-turf) ,with better than moderate speed ,will spin.

  4. Love the Pro V1x, but certainly on the expensive side. If you're looking for a less-expensive alternative than the Precept Laddie is very good.

  5. nike soft, Very soft and easy to hit

  6. I've tried the Bridgestone B330, Callaway Tour ix, etc., and have found the ball that feels the best for me in the Pro V1.  Look on-line for good deals on the balls.

Because they are pricey, unless I'm in a tournament, I will tee off with a cheaper ball then switch to the Pro V1 for chipping and putting.  There's nothing wrong with doing that unless you have to follow the rules, like in a tournament.  I do that since there are ball magnets in the trees at my course and my drives sometimes get caught in the magnet tractor beams and pulled into the woods.  I hate to loose a $4 ball.
