  1. A dry rose might be nice, just slightly chilled.

Or, for a true red, I'd go with a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara or a Merlot from Sonoma or Paso Robles.

    Also depends on the food.

  2. **Springmoon**

This wine is from Indiana, not India. Very sweet red, made from Concord grapes, and you can tell! It's incredibly fruity, too much so for some. It tastes like fruit juice - with a kick. Easy to drink, great for just hanging out with friends.

  3. yellowtail

  4. Lumbrusco,Shiraz. I like those i started out with Lumbrusco and worked my way to Shiraz..

  5. Red Rose' is a good, light, fruity red wine.  It's my favorite.  Livingston is cheap, but really good, but definately not the only company that makes it.  There's one that comes in a really cool, red opaque bottle...I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but it's is one of the best.  A little pricier than Livingston, but not unreasonable.

  6. Gabiano Chianti Classico

    Yellow Tail Shiraz

    Little Penguin Shiraz

    Penfold's Shiraz

Wishing Tree used to be great, but they changed something :(

  7. Lambrusco

  8. Try a blossom hill quite light and fruity

  9. A good soft red;  try LaCrema Pinot Noir ... A very lite and smooth California red at about $42

If looking for something a bit less expensive try:

Carpineto "Dogajolo"  or  Monte Antico red

Both Italian Super Tuscans..real nice at about $10
