What is a good speaker system...?

Sony has done a good job in incorporating HDMI in their newer component systems, because obviously they know what's up and know there is a need for optimum HD ports for all of today's peripherals namely PS3.  We have the Blu-Ray Disc Matching Home theater 5.1 with the tower speakers.  This goes for $500.  They also have the same system with the smaller speakers at $400.   They also have several Bravia theater sync systems as well.  All of these have 3 HDMI inputs and one output, so everything goes through your sound system and then your sound system outputs to TV.  These systems also have optical and coax inputs as well if you feel the need to use those.  These component systems do NOT have a DVD player, but I suspect you probably don't want or need one with the PS3 hooked up to it.

Hey its funny that you ask. I just bought a PS3 and was looikng for the same thing a 5.1 system and I ended up getting a Bose Acoustimass 10 Series IV and let me tell you it is awesome. I really appriciate what Bose brings to the tabel and alot of people bash them. But we all have our opinions and Im not here to bash nothin. But i would recommend a Bose if ya got the money. If not there is an Onkyo 7.1 system that I had my Eyes on before i ran into Bose here is the link to what I know is pretty good.

Only thing is that with the Bose system you would have to buy a reciever and with the Onkyo it is all there and you get 7 speakers so it is really up to you. I suggest you go and hear them and some other to see what you like best.

The Logitech z-5500 is fantastic for the price. We have it setup in the family room so it takes abuse from the dear little kids as well. It doesn't have HDMI but it does have optical/TOSLink.

Don't get Bose. It Blose.

Anything by Klipsch will run circles around Bose for a lot less money.
