What is a good speech to be team captain.?

I was nominated for the tennis team captain but I don't know what to say during our speech..It only has to be a minute long but I don't know what to say.

ahah my speech was like when i was 12 cuz ive ben el capitano for a long time, but ummm i was like this is a real honour to be the captian of this team and together i hope we can pull through and show that we are capable of doing this.. really short and boring... and guess what 4 years later and ive led this team through more golds, silvers and bronzes u can count, we havent not placed in a tourney in 4 years  we are pretty great so just be yourself and be envouraging

Speak from the heart, captains should be natural leaders. If you actually believe what your saying and say it passionately enough people will get pumped. sorry if this wasn't much help but they must see some leadership in you if the team nominated you.
