I like Zout as far as the multi purpose stain removers go but if I get a stubborn stain I buy the Carbona that is designed for that specific stain. I haven't had a stain that Carbona couldn't cure....

Oxi Clean, warm water, detergent, and a lot of soaking.  Soak item for 2 days if possible, then scrub/clean and air dry.  Repeat process until the stain is destroyed.

If the item is made of polyester or other plastic synthetics, you can try using dish detergent.
