What is a good starter lizard?

Question

I heard bearded dragon but they seem high maitenance. Do you have to clean a lizards cage everyday? And what about geckos... Are they good too?

i'd say a leopard gecko or a bearded dragon as they are easy to look after. you don't need to clean them out every day just when they look like they need it. geckos are a good idea if you get 1 then you don't need such a big vivarium.

hay ya bearded dragons are kind of high maintenance i would recommend leopard geckos their so easy to take care of easy to handle eat and shead well and never bite i have 2 and i love them to bits they only go to the toilet in one corner of the tank so their easy to clean out  and thay dont get to big either for me thier the prfect pet hears a good care sheet http://www.thegeckospot.com/shortleocare... hope this helps xxxxx

Beardies are very high maintenance. You need to clean p**p out often. They stink if you don't.

Anoles need to have exact temps or they will die.

Never have a community tank.

Good choices are leopard geckos, fat tail geckos, and crested or eyelash geckos.

anoles are good but there fast...my first lizard was a leopard gecko..you should check them out

i agree, anoles are a good starter lizard. They are cheap and you will learn lizard care through them. Geckos would also be a decent beginner lizard as well.

Anoles are great starter lizards.  Leopord geckos are also pretty easy.

Texas Banded Geckos, extremely easy to take care of, I caught my own, you need to scoop out the dead crickets and fecies on sight and clean the cage out once a week, but other than that there fine! Hope this helped!
