Power supply and water supply and treatment companies seem a commonsense investment.

There is already in some places a shortage of both and this can only get worse.

Keep an eye on alternative energy startups, worth a flyer as will be water desalination R&D organisations.

Watch for new public transportation systems, especially in urban areas around the largest cities. The Scottish based "Stagecoach" has expended all over Europe by cutting overheads and standardising equipment, I suspect they will be interested in the US market as people turn to buses for economic reasons.

Watch anything that Richard Branson is involved in, he has a good nose for low cost, high return companies.
