What is a good story with a ghost for a character? ?

If you want one that is creepy and which leaves you not sure what was true and what wasn't, I'd recommend The Turn of the s***w by Henry James. This one can even be read online. The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson is another one in which you may be interested. It was supposed to be a true story. Check Amazon's reviews http://www.amazon.com/Amityville-Horror-... Though ghosts are not the main characters, it was one creepy book.

If you like romantic suspense, you may enjoy the Draycott Abbey series by Christina Skye. The first is called Hour of the Rose. There is a resident ghost on the property who makes an appearance in most (if not all) of the stories. It was an enjoyable series.

I guess this next one is sort of about a ghost. It's really just a suicide note, but it's written in a way that sort of makes the suicide-girl a character of sorts.

Have you read Kontz's Odd Thomas series? Great stuff. Piers Anthony has a few good ghostly stories. Been a while since I've read any good ghost stories so my memory is a bit foggy.
