  1. Shoot outs work alot, i would say get a reaction ball, or a rubber bouncy ball. as for the bouncy ball get your leg pads on and a glove, and work on you 5-hole and glove, (whipping the bouncy ball at a wall)

  2. Sorry, for the little help, I'm not a goalie, but to whip my friend into shape, we bring our sticks and have shoot-outs on him. (street hockey)

  3. Aside from the normal workout routines that you can find online and at gym's, there are several things you can do to stay in shape during the offseason.  As a goalie you want to strengthen your quads and calves, and also gain an explosive step.  You can do sprints for your calves and that will also help your conditioning.  Hit the gym and work quads by doing lunges, squats, and stuff like that.  Having explosive yet controlled movements in net will allow you to expand your game.

  4. wake up, run a mile (or 1.6 km, whichever you prefer)

    then run some more.

    then do exercises.

and top it off with 50 push ups.

then go out and have a class of 15 kids throw balls at you and try to stop as many as you can. (to practice your reflexes and concentration)

this 3 step program is a recipe for success!

  5. well i am a goalie and i recommend stretching, it will take your game to another level. also you can get someone to just take shots on you and practice your rebound control.
