Question:

What is a good teen book?

I am looking for a teen book that is entertaining and "captivating", slightly romantic, but not a "trashy romance novel", please. I have read the Christy Miller/Christy and Todd series and LOVED every one.

So possibly something along those lines... And one more thing, I want it to be a light read, for entertainment...not school. =)

Much appreciated,

Loverlybeck

  8. Of course Twilight would b perfect for that topic but i know that everyone will say that so her are some other books that i have enjoyed that fit into that category

-The Bar Code Tattoo books By Suzanne Weyn

-His Dark Materials By Philip Pullman (the golden compass books)(btw they are not as bad as people say, i am religious and i enjoyed them A LOT!)

-The Books of Ember By Jeanne DuPrau

Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging: Confessions of Georgia Nicolson

  12. lion the witch and the wardrobe and a wrinkle in time

  13. i know 30 people like already said this, but twilight by stephenie meyer.

    a. the love between bella and edward is just beyond words.

    b. the little lines that you can't help but quote "do i dazzle you?" and "h***s not so bad when you've got an angel with you."

    c. the suspense!!!!!!!!

    and lastly,

    d. the characters. stephenie has said she's a character writer. so, obviously this book does a deep focus on the characters.

and trust me, after the book, you'll just want to keep reading. the second, new moon, is in my personal opinion, the best.

    have fun reading. :)

  14. Generation Dead by Daniel Waters is a great read

its different to the other trashy things i have read

    the title is weird.

But the book itself is quirky, original and sweet

    pick it up,you'lll love it

    xx

  15. Banner in the sky, best book ever

  16. well, if you want to read 600 page books, the twilight series

a light read... 13 little blue envelopes or anything by meg cabot...

  17. The Twilight Series is what i'd suggest (if you've not yet read it) it has 4 books in the series. It's about a human falling in love with a vampire. but there's ALOT more to it than that. very captivating and it's very easy to read. they're about 500-700 pages but it goes fast.

    hope i helped.

(oh and the seven deadly sins series is pretty good. its a group of teens. it's got love story, friendship betrayal and other stuff.)

    Good luck

  18. i read the clique books its a series....there are alot of them... the first one is called " The Clique"

  19. Probably my favorite trilogy is The Gemma Doyle Novels.

    By Libba Bray.

A Great and Terrible Beauty (1)

    Rebel Angels (2)

    A Sweet Far Thing (3)

There only published by an american company though, so the easiest way to get them is online or in Borders.

There about a girl called Gemma, set in the 1890s, she grew up in India and then goes to an English boarding school.

Its supernatural and extremely good, romance, friendship, death, love...

Its all there, I love then and would recommend them...

Also Twilight is a saga that is defiantly worth reading.
