Wright-Patterson Air Force museum

Wright Brothers historical sites

Carillon Park (historical buildings and exhibits)

Sunwatch Indian Village

Boonshoft Museum

Dayton Arts Institute

Dayton Visual Arts Center

tour the Wright State U. theatre department

Woodland Cemetary

In all cases, also contact local colleges and universities for art exhibits, plays, concerts, recitals, and special programs for students.  Local libraries often have opportunities as well.

Dawes Arboretum--just south of Newark.  (better in the summer than winter)  Great for the whole family.

Fenton Glass at Marietta--it might be across the river in W. Va.

Indian Mounds at Newark and Chillicothe--probably better in summer than winter.

Adena--Chillicothe--the picture of the seal of Ohio is taken there.

The Amish country

Perry's monument on S. Bass Island (Put-In-Bay).

Crystal Cave (actually a huge geode that is so large you can walk through it standing up) on S. Bass Island.
