What is a good thank you gift for a doctor?

I just love my daughter's doctor. We just saw her the other day and I just wanted to say thank you. I don't want to do anything big,just something to show how much I appreciate what she has done.Any ideas would be great.Thanks

Just a thank you card. Doc's as professionals aren't supposed to accept gifts - some do anyway, but they aren't supposed to. You could give a food gift, like chocolates or a fruit basket or something, that would be fine.

I think a Thankyou card with a message inside would be the best present you could give your doctor, or maybe a little gift your daughter could choose. Something they could put on their desk as a little reminder so when they have had a difficult patient or a hard day, it will cheer them up when they sit down at there desk :) x

Well, you will never go wrong with art pieces, for instance handmade portraits on Oil, pencil, etc. They really look classical! You simply select some nice photo or a picture taken in some beautiful landscape - and send it to the professional artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com

A basic card is just fine.  

Last year when my son was in the hospital, we sent cards to all the people that helped him, like the doctor, ER staff, and the PICU staff.  Its a nice gesture I think.

A card and anything edible. Chocolate, cookies, etc. And if you can I would get enough so she can share it a bit with her staff. Trust me I'm a nurse and the doctors eat that stuff up (both literally and figuratively) since they often feel unappreciated.

Paying your outrageous medical bills on time would be a nice gesture.

I think a heartfelt letter or card would be more than sufficient.

I wasnt suggesting that you DONT! I was suggesting that the bills are outrageous and that is enough gift for the doctor. Sheesh people, chill!

A nice thank you card and maybe donuts & coffee for the office (someone else also suggested this).

Fruit basket or Donuts and coffee for the office, with a letter to the dr attached.

A card will be fine, you would give to her a photo holder, there she would put his family photos or something like that. A little doctor teddybear or some craft(another photo holder) that has been made for your daughter, of course this gift depends on your daughter's age.
