I have been diagnosed with BPD and severe depression. I am on Sertraline but still waiting for it to kick in. I have also tried different therapies in the past but nothing seems to click with me. What is the best therapy for this illness? Are there any new theories for new treatments?

  2. As a counselor, I have experience in working on BPD and depression.  Dialectical behavioral therapy, which is an offshoot of cognitive behavioral therapy, can also be effective.  It focuses on changing overall patterns of behavior and self-talk.

  3. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy..it's a method to change your thoughts and beliefs so you can change your behaviors and actions so they are not so self-destructive......
