What is a good time for a 9 yr old to go to bed on a school night?

My son who will be 9 in November goes to bed a 830. That seems to be a good time, he gets up at 7 in the morning, refreshed and ready for the day.

9:00 is when most kids around here at that age go to bed. Children need 9-10 hours sleep a night to continue to be healthy.

I would say between 8:00 and 9:00.

Aim for 9:00 p.m. That means starting to shower, brush teeth, laying out clothes for the next day at 8:30 p.m.       If she's reading and wants to finish a chapter and she's ready for bed, 9:30 p.m. wouldn't hurt.  

However, if your child is up for the day at 5 a.m., I'd aim for being in bed at 8 or 8:30 p.m.

Well, I send my kids to bed on a school night around 8:30. They are 12 and 8. I have a baby on the way now. So 8:30 is a good time.
