What is a good toy for a 9 month old boy?

My brother in law is comming into town and we finally get to meet our 9 month old nephew, we want to get him something but are not really sure what. what is a good toy that he will like, we are wanting something under $30 but we can budge a little. If you can please look it up at toys-r-us or another common store that would really help, Kohl's or wal-mart, Thanks so much.

We got this at toys r us for like 35 bucks when my son was 9 months old. He's almost a year old and still absolutely lovessss it!

My son is 9 months old and his favourite toys are toys that can be stacked and knocked down or toys that make noise.  You can get lots of different toys at Wal Mart and they are really inexpensive.  If you aren't sure if the toy is appropriate, just check the box - most baby toys show the recommended ages right on the box.

The Playskool Busy Ball Popper.  I'm prettysure they sell it at Target, it costs about $25, and it's AWESOME.  My son just giggles and giggles.

Toys R Us can be expensive. You can find some of the exact same toys for way cheaper at Walmart.

A 9 month old boy is at an age of expolartion. You can get him a shapes bucket. This is a great gift for learning and exploring. My baby got one at 4 months of age and still plays with his now as a 1 year old.

Another good one is an activity ball to stimulate crawling, and if the baby is already crawling, it is still a fun toy to chase after.
