Im looking for a good tuner, whats a good car that has some power in it and a few after market parts and something that isnt really ugly.

Ive taken a look into the Nissan 240sx and the honda hatchback but i have no clue on what i should look for in a tuner.

  1. If you want to do the car up for looks & power, go for a Subaru Impreza. But for the prices of petrol get something like a Nissan Primera, Mazda Familia, Toyota Corolla (these things run for ages!!!!!), or a Honda Prelude

  2. Forget them lame tuner cars. Get a real car and a real engine. Stop playing with the kiddie toys and step up to a mans car. Get a Camaro,Firebird,Mustang or any other rear wheel V8 car.. Once you have experienced the feel of a car with real torque you  will wonder why you wasted your time with rice. Remember pride comes before gas mileage.

  3. try getting a subcompact, like a corolla or a civic or a sentra and just tune it with exhaust air intake and anything else that's relatively cost effective, will build some power, and can save on gas

  4. I would suggest a Honda Del Sol.  Nice look, good power, awesome gas mileage.  They are a little small but still hard to beat.

  5. Get a Honda and tune it for great gas mileage. That would be more impressive than more power.

  6. I guess you should also check insurance quotes for the car before buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.undonet.com

Some of such cars are expensive to insure.

  7. Honda Civic, Acura Integra have VTEC engines which has power and pull. Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99 have awsome aftermarket parts on the market. Look for something that is good on gas for one and then horsepower and torque is your next step, then body style and engine size. Most tuner cars are 4cylinder. Look for a 1.8 or 2.0 Liter engine, and of course it should be 5 speed or 6 speed.
