I am just starting to go in the park, and starting to ski backwards. I want a ski that I can improve these skills with but also continue downhill skiing with speed and skill I have been with my parabolics.

  1. hey im in the same situation

just started learnin rails in the park and stuff.

ive had volkl doggens which were awsume and now ive gt K2 public enemies.

2 tell u the truth there isnt alot off difference throughout twin-tip ranges.

sounds stupid but its just what you like the look of.

i dnt no if ur planning 2 do 360s 180s and stuff. bt if u have a long ski its alot more 2 get all the way round than a shorter one. but you want speed as well so its a compromise between the two.

maybe start on a shorter length for the park

  2. Well for an All-Mountain Twin, you have alot of choices, though I think i can narrow it to a few good skis for your situation. On the top of the price range, there are the Armada Ar6, an amazing twin tip for around 500 some dollars, below that i would suggest the Salomon 1080 Foils for about 400 dollars which is also a great ski, and the 2 skis that I would HIGHLY suggest due to price and performance are the K2 Fugatives and Public Enemy's, which are in the mid 300's...You will get everything you need and more with those skis, plus you won't break the bank..hope that helps :)

  3. Make sure you look for a model that has vertical sidewalls and a wood core.  A lot of brands make really terrible twintips that are too soft to ski normally on... some models that are supposed to be durable and versatile are the k2 public enemy, the nordica supercharger ignition, and the 4frnt tnk.  Anything with vertical sidewalls and a wood core that isn't completely soft should be good though.
