I've always played pool in pubs, but now I've been invited to join my local's pub team, and I think it's time i bought a cue. I'm a fairly good player - I do average in the local pub league - can anyone recommend what type of cue I should buy? I know absolutley nothing about cues!!! And if anyone's interested, last night I played an absolute blinder! I was awesome!!! Cheers

  1. I have been playing since I could hold a cue and the best one I've found is a Viking 21 oz.  But you have to find one that fits you, can't nobody tell you what's a good cue for you.  You have to find that out yourself.  everybody uses a differnet cue and technique.

  2. I have been playing pool for 16 years and I own a Falcon and absolutely love it.  I have friend's who own other cues like

Viking's, Mc dermont's, Joss even a Dufferin ( my first stick) all of these are good cues.  Try to stay away from lower quality stick such as orchards & cutec's It is  worth the extra dollars because it is an investment you will have for a long time.  visit your local pro shop

  3. different cues come in different weights and tip sizes dan so you may have to experiment a bit as a cue becomes "personal" after a bit of use so it is important to get the right cue. try some of the own players cues in your local and see what you think. (you might even find you can play better with a pub stick). i have a BCE ronnie o sullivan endorsed cue and it does me fine.
