  1. A good pace for varsity is hard to say because there are many things that you need to take into account. The pace for varsity will be different for every school depending on how good of a team you have. Because at one school you would need to run under a 7 minute pace to get on varsity, but at another you could be running over a 7 minute pace and get on varsity. Also, it depends on how many miles you run. Some states only run 2 miles for varsity and others run 3 or 5k. I know where I live we run 3 miles and a average varsity time is about 6 30 pace per mile. But on my team the slowest girl on varsity was running over 7 minute pace, but not by much. But I would have to say a good pace to go for is 6 30 pace or under. Because there will be many girls running closer to 6 minute pace and under.

    Hope this helped :)

  2. this is a splits calculator

  3. anywhere from 6:10 to 6:40

  4. 6:00-6:30 per mile for girls and 5:00-5:30 for guys

  5. girls-21 minutes and under

    boys-17 minutes and under

At my hs those times are the lettering requirements for varsity. I would say as long as you are somewhere in that area for a 5k then that's a fairly good varsity pace. But it also depends on what state you live in and if you have a bunch of really fast people on your team and etc. A good mile team would be anywhere between from 5:30-7 minutes. It just really depends on your team. For my team though that is about our varsity teams pace, including mine. I usually run somewhere around twenty minutes for each race. Hope you have a  good xc season!

  6. 45 miles per hour
