Question:

What is a good wakeboard for me?

I need a good learning board that will also be good enough that once i get better i wont have to buy another board for a while, u kno a good all around board thats pretty cheap, im looking for good brand names and what i need to pay attendtion for when purchasing a board

  1. Yeah, patricks babii is right. Your weight determines the board size, however, there is no set size. A lot of pros ride boards smaller and larger than what is suggested. If I were you I would go to a shop and demo a board. If the shop is any good they will let you demo a couple of them and help you fit into a good boot. If money is an issue then stay away from pro model boards. Most people just like to look cool and just buy the graphics. Connelly Wakeboards (CWB), Liquid Force and Hyperlite are your most common brands and all offer bugetable boards that are good quality. Look for demo boards or last years models as well as boards w/factory blems to get the best deals. I weight about 155 and ride a 132...kinda small but I like the skate feel to it.   2. it all depends on how much u weigh...i weigh about 125 and i have a size 128 board...so go by that or u can just ask for help at a store - i went to porters in tahoe and they were extremely helpful...good luck!
