What is a good walk in the Dublin area. Looking for a good 12-20 miles in the surrounding countryside.?

If you are looking for a serious walk like this you would be better following some of of the Wicklow Way.  This is a whole way through wicklow planned out a long time ago and is signposted very well.  

You  could go to Glendalough and do the Spink walk.  It brings you up the hill overlooking the lake and is beautiful.

i agree with podge and Rodge you will see road rage like never before  podge and Rodge are doing a show about it next season called the scary road rage

The Wicklow Mountains, maybe.  I like the coast between Dun Laoghaire and Bray, but it's not really a walk, as much of it has to be done by suburban road.

just start walking and go where ever the path leads. i would suggest however getting the dart to the south of dublin (dalkey area) and getting off there and walk around, theres beuatiful coast and scenic views and theres planty to do aswell. have fun

The M50 is a good walk. Just keep in close to the kerb. There's a lot of mad drivers about.
