There are no flowers beside the area that needs treated just a few shurbs and mature trees. Its a raised bank and I have used a scythe and strimmer but getting nowhere fast.

  1. constant weeding ... eventually u will win

  2. Use a non selective herbicide such as round up or anything to where the active ingredient is glysophate. Spray the area you wish to have removed you (make sure to read the label for the mix rate) and give 48 hours before replanting. I recomend round up though as you will recieve the best results and you can see it start to work in 24 hours. Round up will also kill the grass's root system to prevent regrowth for awhile.

  3. You    could   dig  the  area   over .

  4. If there are other plants you want to keep in the border, you could try "Weedol" it may take a few applications but it will only kill the weeds that you water it onto, other than that, to really clear an area, Sodium Chlorate will kill most vegetation, and you can usually replant by next Spring!
