  1. okay, sorry, but your NOT going to get tuff hedemen to come to your house and teach your horse how to get on the correct leads. thats like getting a private singing lesson with toby keith

  2. Go to the top men in Rodeo.  Contact Donnie g*y (a former World Champion Cowboy at the Mesquite Rodeo in Mesquite, Texas.  He may put you in touch with Tuff Hedeman  or one of the other Champions.

Also, he may put you in touch with one of the girls who race barrels.  These will be your best people.

  3. When you use your aids (seat, legs, upper body, hands, and mind) to communicate with a horse when you ride, you are using a series of coordinated body movement to get your horse to move in a particular way.

The aids for a lead change are the same on a straight line as when on a circle. Even if you are on a circle, when you ask for a lead change, your horse's body must be straight before, during, and after the change.

Check out this Site, I even booked mark it! It's excellent!

  4. time and patients! make sure you have collection and flexing down first and then the way that I found was to do a fast posting trot, cut the arena in half, and then as you get back onto the rail (making a sharper turn, not completely rounded, but not where they're going to fall over) put flex him towards the rail and use your leg and seat to "throw him" into it. It takes a while. Just over and over, but I found the half circle works. But each horse is different, either way it will just take time and patients. Oh yea, and then don't be picky on speed when they pick it up, its a balance thing. They'll figure it out.

  5. First of all, you need to tell me what you know about leads...you can't teach them if you don't understand them.

  6. set their head before you ask for a canter...pull their nose toward the rail and only ask with the outside foot...if you horse doesnt know how to set their head then you may have some problems for a bit.  I bought an arabian mare who only knew how to ride on trails. when i first started teaching her leads and i would set her head toward the rail, she would stop and turn a full circle. have patients.

  7. idk never tried ask my cousin haha

  8. Electric cattle prod. Zap Zap.
