What is a good way to advertise a moving company and a gutter cleaning company?

A newspaper would be a good way. More people than you know go to the newspapers. Fliers in grocery stores (most have a section on a bulletin board and or table near it). When you can afford it you could make a company website.

maybe you should flyer at college dorm places or apartment buildings near a college campus, somewhere people move often and don't really have cars of their own. how much does it cost to get an ad in yellowpages.com or something? that would be kind of professional.
