I have many video files in many different formats on my computer. I would like to burn some of these to a dvd so I could watch them on my TV and also save hard drive space. What is a good way to do this? Is there a program that will convert and burn everything(in a playable state) for me?

  1. Cucusoft Video to DVD Creator is a good choice. It converts popular video formats such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, DV, VOB to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable or home DVD player. Any video to to VCD/DVD/SVCD is even faster than real-time.

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of the DVD creator give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product:

  2. As with anything else in the computer world there are many programs to do this and many different ways to do it. One thing that doesn't change is the format that the video has to be in to be playable in a standard DVD player. The exact program you use will vary based on the original format of the video. Many programs will accept AVI files and convert them to the DVD standard format called VOB. Other video formats may require other programs to deal with them. You may even have to use one program to convert the video and another program to burn it to DVD.

I wish I could be more explicit but you asked a very general question so you get a very general answer.
