  1. shop in the clearance racks

i find it best to go in every store first to see what they have. shop around then go back and buy it so if you find something better that you like, you won't have to go and return the other item. make a mental note of what every store has and how much they have to you will know for later. then go back and buy what you like. set a maximum for 1 item. EX. no more than $15 on 1 shirt or no more than $25 on jeans. that way you can keep track and not go over. in you mind plan to only spend $150 then use to other $100 for little things that you really need

  2. 1. Set limits for each type of clothing- $30 for jeans, $20 for shirts, $15 for tank tops, etc.

    2. Go through your current wardrobe and get rid of all of the clothes that don't fit you anymore/you'll never wear. Then, make a count of the clothes you have left. If you only have a few t-shirts but you have a lot of jeans, make sure to spend more of your money on t-shirts instead of buying even more unnecessary pairs of jeans.

    3. Write down a list of how many of each type of clothing you want to buy. (ex. 5 tees, 6 tanks, 1 jeans, etc.) Bring this list with you and stick to it.

    4. Don't forget to leave some of your budget for shoes, accessories, or even a new bag if you need it.

    & have fun shopping. :]

  3. When I needed to buy clothes (in volume, such as school clothes) and I was on a budget, I would shop at either outlets or discount stores such as Marshall's and TJMaxx. As an adult, and I am well out of school, I still buy a lot of designer clothes for work and for my husband (who goes through A LOT of jeans) at these stores. My favorites are Calvin Klein outlet, Nautica outlet (for my husband) and Fossil outlet. Often when I buy clothes at the discount stores I get shirts by BCBG Max Azaria, Calvin Klein, and they sell American Eagle and Calvin Klein jeans really cheap. Additionally they carry Express, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch and Aeropostale... which are common stores for your age group.  If you like the brand names and the band name look... with a limited budget, I think this is the best way to stretch your dollar... also try www.overstock.com and www.smartbargains.com. These sites also sell brand names for less.  Have fun shopping!

  4. If you seriously love to shop and have cute clothes but don't know where to buy them for cheap go to Plato's closet. They have jeans and stuff for super cheap that is pretty much brand new.

  5. wow...I have the EXACT same budget for new clothes. :) anyways...i know that this year I need more tops then pants because i have waaayyy more pants then tops so im focusing on that but if i see a pair of pants that I REALLY like...ill get them. So thats how im balancing.

  6. Well, I went shopping on Monday, just after Tax Free Weekend and there were OODLES of sales. There may be a few left, and the only advice I can give you is: Look For SALES.

    Good Luck :D

  7. well, you have to limit yourself and have self control. what i do is say to myself i can spends x dollars at that store and x dollars at this store. another way is to not buy anything over $30 or $40

  8. You should get basics because their cheap,

Then you can buy accessories to mix and match them

    And jazz up your outfits
