  1. Maybe start with a warm up:

    1000 meters

Then a set to get the blood pumping:

    20x50meters on one minute

Then a long distance cardio work:

15x100meters one length slow one fast x2 on 1.30 minute

u can work on that thats what i do

Soz i dont know how good you are

  2. You don't necessarily need to swim to stay in shape for swimming.  RUN! Running will help you keep your endurance up.  Also start lifting a little bit of weights.  The more strength you have the easier it is to move the water.

When you do swim, I would write down your workout.  Start swimming a 1,000, and then keep adding as you feel you are able to.   Here is an idea:

    Warm up:  4 100s free

8 50s, rotate freestyle with IM

    8 50s, freestyle sprint

    4 100s, kick

4 100s, alternate freestyle with IM

    200 cooldown

  3. try just doing regualr sets like you would every other time in your club.

    try these for example.

(if you have trouble understanding it...then ignore it)

    - 400 reverse IM

    - 8 50's IM order build. (butter, back, breast, free, buter, back, breast, free)

    - 200 kick

    - 300 butter drill (two pulls with your left arm...two pulls with your right arm...two pulls with both)

    - 300 back drill ( one pull to six kicks and turn all the way on your side)

    - 300 breast drill (one pull two kicks...or breast pull with butter kicks

    - 300 free drill (head taps...or hand taps...or both.

and try anything else you might think of.

    good luck.

  4. it depends on how fast u r and your age and everything. anyways...i am 13 and in club and pretty good so this is what we usually do.

a 600- kick, drill, swim, kick, drill, swim    100 of each

then a set of like 12 100s im 4 of each

then like a 400 with streamline jumps at each wall free

a 200 of each stroke and pretty good dryland workout

start out with that and as you get better, and sets and make it faster.
