  1. Play better than he does. That will get his attention and he will be pressing to do better. Happened often when I had the game.

  2. There are so many ways.

The "do you breath in or out on your back swing?" question can work.

But best method is simply to play better and never say anything to make them feel good - such as "good shot".

I also came across this the other day.  http://bredies.mg777.hop.clickbank.net/

I've never tried it and it seems a bit unsporting to me but then I have had people do the same to me.

Best bet is just to play your best.

Or change the pace of the game.  If he/she is older or weaker speed the game up by walking faster.  If they prefer to play quickly slow it right down.

    Good luck

  3. flash them

  4. If you're playing for fun or just a few bucks, try telling them how great they are doing. "You've got an awesome game going." Man, you are in tune today" etc. This works great. If it's a serious tournament, then keep your mouth shut! peace

  5. Stay out of your opponent's head. Worry about your own game. There is no room for gamesmanship in the game of golf. If you want to learn how to play the game properly, read about a golfer by the name of Bobby Jones.

  6. If you stay focused yet continue to have fun and worry about your own game....you can stay out of your opponents head altogether. Etiquette still rules the game of golf and gamesmanship has no place in it. There's lot of suttle things you could do, but if you decide to do them, don't be surprised if your opponent calls you out on them. Worry about you, have fun, and shake hands when you walk of the final hole. Good luck!

  7. Play well for one.  I'm not a big fan of gamesmanship; for me it goes against the spirit of the game.

In stroke play there's little you can do, but if you're a good putter and a good scrambler, it can certainly impact your opponent.

In match play, you "could" simply choose not to concede anything, or perhaps concede something early, and then late in the match, not concede anything (with that being said, this is a fine line...for me, if the guy is putting well I'll typically be more forgiving, but if my opponent isn't rolling it well, I won't concede the 2-footers that I might otherwise concede).

The other thing...don't get down on yourself no matter what.  Show your opponent that a few bad shots isn't going to get you down on yourself; make your opponent beat you, don't beat yourself.

    Just remember...etiquette still counts.

  8. The best way to get in someone's head is to simply outplay them.  Hit fairways, greens, and make your putts.  I basically spotted my playing partners 4 strokes on the 2nd hole yesterday when we played.  By the turn, I was 2 behind one of them and one behind the other.  I was ahead of both of them by hole 12 because I birdied 10 and 11.  By the end of the round I beat the one guy by 3 strokes after being down 2 after 9 holes and beat the other guy by 9 strokes after being down 1.

  9. i used to play college golf.

This may seem weird..but ask them if they breath in or out in their back swing...coach did that to us once and we were so busy trying to find out the answer that our swings went to h**l.

    But on a serious note...be confident !!!

  10. hyj

  11. hit them with the golf club? kidding tell them that rabbits go pee pee in their bed

  12. tell them there golf ball is to big

  13. Tee off with an iron on the first hole.  If he asks why, say you keep driving through the fairway and would rather make par than risk anything,  Works every time.  ( you just have to kill your first shot with the driver! )
