I want to be able to hang curtains, frames, shelves, etc., without ruining the wall. Is there a safe product out there that actually works and can hang heavier items without leaving residue or causing damage?

  1. Magic Hooks!  I can't remember if 3M or Scotch makes them, but they come in all different sizes.  The adhesive or glue is completely removable from the wall when you want to remove them.  They come in different sizes so you can hang a cutain rod, a picture frame, even a jacket.

I have plaster walls and that is the only way I hang anything and I actually found them by chance years ago when they first came out.

  2. Try using a spring tension rod inside the  sill they look great and no holes.

  3. Scottch makes this thing I dont know what they are called that they have a fast rease tape on them that leave nothing behind. One side goes on the wall and the other goes on what ever you are hanging. The two hold together like velco. They hold up alot. I put picture frames up deco signs and much more with these. Im in a house where i can drill no holes or leave no marks.
