i play soccer and i am coming back from a injury and need to get back in shape......... what are some good drills to improve my stamina....

  2. I find that running half or full marathons frequently is guaranteed to enhance one's stamina, esp for soccer, basketball and martial art.

    On top of your normal runs, do lots of slow running backwards, fast and short sprints forward, and gym work to strengthen leg muscles. However, you should not do too much strenuous swimming as different sets of muscles are involved, and your soccer prowess and land mobility will be affected. Just treat swimming as an occasional activity and a summer recreation.
