  1. I saw this on the tlc show sell this house,

Removing wallpaper use a solution of warm water and fabric softener. It always worked on the show.  Good luck!!

  2. Steam or soak it and use a hair dryer till loose

  3. Ive always used the concentrate you buy at hardware stores. You sometimes can use like a steamer and heat up the glue and it comes off. Best way is to use the remover concentrate though that way you dont ruin the sheetrock underneath.

  4. Go to Home Depot and get the wall paper removal product. You may also be able to find some rental place that has a steamer to remove the paper.

  5. Laundry fabric softener mixed with hot water.  This can be applied with a sponge, or with a paint roller.  You don't have to use much - about 1/4 to 1/2 cup softener to a gallon of water.  Score the walls first with a wallpaper removal tool.  Then scrape off the paper after allowing it to soak until the paper starts to loosen.

  6. well let me tell you how we used to get it off, we would set up a hot plate in the middle of the room and put a kettle of water on it and let it boil for a good period of time(when humidity gets real high and paper becomes soggy) then we just scraped it off, sometimes it fell off by it's self. as a rule it would take a few hours of boiling to loosen the paper, but it did. make sure if you have children to keep them away, and put a something under the hot plate to keep from staining or discoloring the table you set the hotplate on. use common sense.

  7. We scored the wallpaper with a "paper tiger" (available at Home Depot), used DIF (spray on liberally, let soak 5-10 minutes), then used a steamer over that before scraping with a wide putty knife.  That seemed to work best overall, though there were sections that we could get off with just the DIF.

Wallpaper is a beast to get off.  I hearby proclaim I will never use wallpaper!

  8. Tools and Materials: Sponge, hot water, and a broad (6") paint spatula. 1. If necessary, soften the paste underneath the paper with a sponge and hot water. 2. Scrape the paper off with a six-inch broad knife and remove as much of the residue as possible. 3. Rinse the walls with TSP or with a neutralizing solution of 1 cup white vinegar mixed in 1 gallon of water.

If your wall paper is not the strippable kind, here's how to remove wallpaper that is older: By modifying commercial wallpaper remover you can remove old wallpaper much more quickly and efficiently. Combine the following: • 3 gallons of very hot water • 1 bottle of wallpaper remover with reactive enzymes (the label should state that it's enzyme based) • 1/4 cup liquid fabric softener • 2 tablespoons baking soda

Using Wallpaper Remover This method is often more easy and less messy than steaming and works well with older, difficult to remove wall coverings.

  9. I watch a lot of home improvement shows & you really should get a scoring tool.  Other than that the thing everone seems to like best is frabic softener and water in a spray bottle.  Spray the wall good, let it sit a while & then start pulling it off.  You might also need a scraping tool.

Lots of the shows say the softener & water works better than commercial removers.

  11. i remember seeing on tv there was this thing you had to rub it withm it had bumps on it, then steam it off.

They also sell products (like at Home Depot) which will help.

  13. I recently asked a fellow friend the same question, there is a liquid you can buy but its almost worthless. What works the best is warm soapy water and a sponge or cloth, rub it over the wallpaper and softly remove the paper :)

  14. You can purchase wallpaper remover from Home Depot.  You first need to score the wallpaper with a special round cutter than spray the wallpaper solution mixture on the wall, wait a few minutes and scrape the wallpaper off.  I ran out of the solution and used plain hot water in a spray bottle with the same result.  Only drawback was that you need to refill the spray bottle with hot water.  Cold water does not work as good.  Allow the water to soften the paper and scrap it off.  Make sure you wash and rewash the walls to get all the glue off before painting.

  15. water soak it
