I'm having an outdoor wedding and we will have beer and wine- it will be help yourself. However, I want to make sure no one under 21 drinks. My mom would like me to put up a sign that says you can only drink if you're 21. Can you think of some good ways to word the sign? Something like

Alcoholic beverages for those who are 21

Please be respectful

I'm bad at wording things, suggestions for what the sign should say would help!

  1. How about a sign that just has '21+'

  2. I went to a party...and the sign said:

"Adult Kool-aid this way (with an arrow pointing to the drinks)...kid's kool-aid this way"

I thought it was cute...but I would just have someone stand guard if you are nervous about it...

  3. Just have a sign that says "Libations."

Kids and teens probably won't know what it is.

  4. sorry, I think you should just do away with the beer and wine, unless you wnat a toast for the bride and groom....if someone underage drinks at your wedding...you will be held responsible....if someone is over the legal limit and gets stopped, you will be held responsible, if someone over indulges and leaves your reception and kills themselves or someone else...you will be held responsible, and have to live with the consequences for the rest of your lives.....you can cut your reception costs substantially, have a lovely reception, serve punch (unspiked...and make sure you have someone at the punch bowl) and hire a band instead and have a dance! More memorable, and much more fun...a drunk at a wedding can spoil everything!

  5. How about:

Wine and beer available. If you are not over 21, please be respectful of our wishes and limit yourself to soft drinks only. Thank you.

  6. You could have a sign on the cooler that says something like "id required"

  7. You could just put a small sign on the table that says "For guests 21 and over" - simple and straightforward.

  8. No matter how you word it, the people under 21 will already know they shouldn't drink, and if they want to, they will unless someone stops them. I'd recommend that you hire an attendant to man the bar.
