ancestry.com is one of the best but it is a subscription site, if you just want to have a play then use either rootsweb.com or familysearch.org.

Remember when ever you see a site that has been transcribed then you need to see the original record.

Just a note - you have 16 last names if you go back to your great great grandparents. If your 4 grandparents are alive and remember who THEIR grandparents were, you can get back that far with two phone calls, one to your dad's parents, one to your mom's. They'd probably like to hear from you.

If they are dead, divorced or not speaking to you, I apologize.
