i live in san diego and im gunna try to teach my friend to surf next week and we wanna go on a flat kind of day.. whats some good websites to check?

Surfline, it gives you a whole list of conditions for the coming days so you can plan ahead. It will tell you the tides for that day, the water temp. along with the weather.

They tell swell height, wind direction, temperature, etc.

You can also click on city/ surfspot, and it'll give you the approx. report in that area.
