Question:

What is a good wedding gift?

Please, any suggestion for a wedding gift? I would like to spend £30-£50 because I haven't seen the guy in 5 years but I knew him quite well at Uni. My initial view is that it has to be something they will both use and not anything obvious that other guests will buy. Any thoughts?

  1. best gift in wedding is your mind....................................... her your mind and your pure love .........................she will happy

  2. gift card or certificate from somewhere they like. that way they can pick out something whenever they have time. after getting everything else from everyone else.

  3. Any gift the bride has asked for on her registry, or cash is a good gift.

Any gift the bride has not asked for or not money is a bad gift.

  4. I have to agree and say either cash or a gift voucher for a good but reasonably priced homewares store.  But alot of people will be buying things for the home, so I would say cash is better.  Then if they are going on a honeymoon, they can have some spending money to have the time of their life!  :)

  5. Wooden salad bowl & salad tongs

towels or sheets (you can never have too many, you'll eventually use them)

Good quality cast iron fry pan.

  6. Any kitchenware for cooking is always appeciated

  7. If in doubt.... neutral coloured towels... (expensive ones)

Failing that... go Eco.... buy them for £50 a bride & groom goats from Oxfam!  or a single goat for £25. or a variety of other eco gifts

They get sent a card telling them whats been bought for them, with a personal message from you.

Go to either the Oxfam website or Gobuygifts.com

  8. Gift vouchers are always a grateful gift.. they can then go and buy or put towards something they really want rather than get 13 toasters and 10 kettles etc... Your spend is quite generous and they will see this in the gift voucher value x

  9. Money is the best gift to be just married couple. They need to buy stuff for their house and have them pick it out so people don't get the wrong things and it is excately what they want. I would go with money! Good luck! ♥

  10. well if you give them cash then they can just go buy what they want and then you know you got them what they wanted! that's what i do.

  11. CASH, the best gift ever!!

  12. Money

  13. Nice looking photo frames :D

  14. One of my favorite gifts was a basket full of kitchen utensils - we liked it because the giver had taken the time to buy our everything in our kitchen colors - it wasn't a lot, but it was really nice KitchenAid and wasn't just cheap stuff. Plus the basket was really pretty ;)

  15. Not knowing what your price range is. . .how about a his/her gift to a day spa?!?  They could go and relax together and unwind from their hectic plans over the marriage.  And the whole time. . .they'll be thinking of your wonderful gift!  Now THAT'S something I'll bet no one else thinks of!  And what a better gift than a PRICELESS MEMORY of you?!?

Tangible items just tend to break, wear-out, or loose their appeal.  Memories last a lifetime!  Right?!?

  16. Some s*x toys they will laugh when they open them

  17. Money!! All married couples need it. It doesn't matter how much, it will be greatly appreciated. All newlyweds will shop at Walmart. Get them a Walmart gift card. The toasters, coffemakers, and griddles are great but it's likely that someone else got them the same gift. You can never have too much money or gift cards.

  18. money - everyone needs it, and no one ever has enough !

  19. Gift Vouchers

  20. I just got married last year and our favorite gift was money! I know it is somewhat impersonal, however, we didnt need 4 toaster, 5 lamps, 10 cookie sheets, etc.... Even with a registry, we had a bunch of double, or more, gifts... Then we had to go back to the store and return the ones we couldnt use... I hate returning gifts, never had done that before, but a new couple living in a small place, dont have room for all that stuff... If you want to but something and not give money get something personalized with their name and maybe wedding date. I got this wall hanging that has our name on it and it says "Always Kiss ME Goodnight" It was probably my favorite thing we got other than cash!

  21. £50 voucher for somewhere. Or one of those pens you can stab a can with. I've always wanted one of them.

  22. just gve them the money or buy some vouchers then they can by whatever they need

  23. Cash.

  24. Come by my site.

I am still adding new items.

The jewelry is sterling silver and gemstones.

Most are reasonable priced for the frugal shopper.

    Thanks.

    candles

    movies

    dishes

  27. why them something they want. See if they have a registry.

  28. have you been in contact with the guy in the 5 years? know the bride? know their interests?........

you could go romantic....with a gift basket of candles, romantic music cd, nice bottle of wine/champagne, massage oils, booklet of coupons for romantic nights suggestions, some nice chocolate truffles, a s*x toy(pocket rocket is not too expensive and popular, there is also a tongue vibe that's not too expensive...a fun addition to romantic evening),  maybe a couples massage at a spa

you could go fun.......with an adult board game for couples or  a book by Laura Corn(101 nights of grrreat romance, 101 nights of grrreat s*x, 101 nights of grrreat quickies, The Great American s*x Diet), a wedding time capsule kit

you could go traditional...with wine glasses, household items, some appliance that isn't often thought of...like a chocolate fondue kit(or a few fondue kits...cover all the bases, chocolate, cheese and meat), waffle makers, slow cookers(let the newlyweds enjoy each other and forget about meal preparation for awhile with this gift)

  29. how about a John Lewis gift voucher because everybody loves John Lewis!!

  30. My wife loves to give wind-chimes as a wedding gift.

  31. I think it's good to get a gift that is something that's nice, but someone will usually just make do with a cheap substitute rather than buy it themselves. Something really nice, but practical makes a great gift.
