  1. Here is an Ideal Body Weight Calculator. http://www.healthcentral.com/diet-exerci...

Please bear in mind that it is only a calculation. For you to really know what your "ideal" body weight is, you need to know that weight is not as important as what your body fat is. I have posted an article that may help.

As far as pant size goes, since the sizes vary a lot from manufacturer to manufacturer it is hard to determine. I am 5'8, 145 pounds (which is in my bmi range) and wear anything from a 6-12 depending on the cut and maker.

Here is the article along with a link.

There is actually no ideal or specific weight you should be relative to your height. The real factor you want to focus on is your overall body fat percentage. For example, someone who is your current height/weight, could have 35% body fat with a small amount of lean muscle. On the other hand, you could take another person with the exact same height/weight but they have 15% body fat and a higher level of lean muscle. Don't be worried too much about what the scale reads. Focus on fueling your body with nutrient dense food, building lean muscle with strength training and burning the fat off with cardio workouts. This way you will have a lean and toned physique no matter what your weight is.

The minimum percent body fat considered safe and acceptable for good health is 5% for males and 12% for females. The average adult body fat is closer to 15%-18% for men and 22%-25% for women. You can review this article which explains how to calculate your body fat percentage:

  2. 5'8 maybe like. 145 pounds

    size 9 or something.

  3. i would say maybe 135 tops?

    maybe like a 4?

  4. i am 5'8'' too and 143 lbs. i wear a size 6 which i think is normal. i think a size 4 would be too skinny.  the normal range for our height is 135-150 according to shape.com.

  5. i heard that at 5'0 you start at 100 pounds, and add 5 pounds for every inch. so 5'1 should be 105, 5'2 should be 110, and so on. so somewhere around 140 lbs would be a healthy weight.

  6. alright well im 5'9
