  3. My 15.3 hh Arab gelding weighs 1000 lbs in good condition.  My 15 hh paint mare weighs 1100 lbs and is an easy keeper who still could stand to lose more....I like her to be closer to 1000 lbs.

Honestly, it's really dependent upon the horse's build, and breed.  A finer-boned light riding horse of 15 hands will weigh less than a heavier-boned horse.  If you really wanted to know what the ideal weight for your horse would be, I'd suggest using a weight-tape to see how much your horse weighs, and then discussing that with a vet to see if it's ideal or not.
